Staying Over?

Reading offers a great mix of history, culture and outdoor space right in the town centre. Visit Reading Museum to explore the town’s heritage, including its famous past as “Biscuit Town”, home to the world-renowned Huntley & Palmers biscuit company. Art lovers can see the striking Banksy mural “Create Escape” on the walls of the former Reading Prison, just a short walk from the station.

For green space, relax in Forbury Gardens beside the historic Abbey ruins, or take a scenic walk along the River Thames paths for waterside views. You can also explore the fascinating Museum of English Rural Life (MERL), which showcases Britain’s rural history and has strong links to Reading’s past.

From culture and history to riverside walks and public art, there’s plenty to see and do in Reading town centre and beyond.

Check-in is from 3pm. Arriving early and want to head out? No problem, we’ll hold on to your bags until you’re back.

Yes, we love furry four-legged friends just as much as humans. Just add your pet to your booking (up to two pups can stay with you for £25 per stay, and we’ll make sure they get a VIP welcome with a doggy hamper full of tasty tail-wagging treats, a doggy bed or blanket and bowl.

We’ve got lots of family-friendly bedrooms. We can also add cots for the littlest of guests, or fold-out beds (for the bigger little ones) to your room on request. Kids under 2 stay for free. 2-16 are £15 per night.

No, breakfast is not provided with our boutique bedrooms. Tea and coffee are available in every room, and there are a variety of local cafes nearby that open early for breakfast.

Getting Here

We don’t have our own spaces (we’re just too central for that).

  • Cattle Market Car Park – A central Reading car park, perfect for short stays and just a short stroll to Market House.

  • Saxon Court Car Park – Close to the heart of Reading, ideal for short or longer stays.

  • The Riverside Car Park – Located at The Oracle, this car park is a handy option for central Reading parking.

  • Reading Station Underground Car Park – A larger facility close to Reading Train Station, ideal if you’re combining car and rail travel.

  • Broad Street Mall Car Park – Centrally located near Broad Street and The Oracle, with plenty of spaces for your visit.

Our closest train station is Reading, just a 5-minute walk from the venue. From the station, turn right onto Blagrave Street, then bear right onto Market Place — you’ll find Market House on your left.

Booking Bits

We understand that plans sometimes change, so we try to make our booking policies super flexible. You can cancel or modify your booking up to 12pm the day before your arrival. If you cancel outside of this time or don’t show up, we’re sorry, but we’ll have to charge you for the first night of your stay. The only rate that’s not flexible is the Early Bird, this one’s non-refundable and non-amendable.
